Riverside - no reeds

A Valentine's postcard, issued circa 1901, of the river bank at Windsor was photographed by James Valentine c. 1886. In this view the only 'adjustment' has been the addition of hand colouring to the original black and white photograph.

Riverside - with reeds

The same view, also a Valentine's postcard, where plentiful reeds have been added to enhance the attractiveness of the card to potential customers.
Also, an oversize flag has been added above the Round Tower.

Barry Ave
