 The Valley Gardens in Spring

The Valley Gardens looking towards Virginia Water

The Valley Gardens features a glorious collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and magnolias, best viewed in the spring from the top of the valley, with views down to Virginia Water.

The Valley Gardens also includes a National Heather Collection, a National Rhododendron Collection and a National Camellia Collection among others. There are also extensive hydrangea plantings and a wealth of other interesting shrubs and trees.

The Valley Gardens are free to enter as of Spring 2006 and plans to enclose the Valley Gardens and charge for entry have been deferred following vociferous opposition from a large number of visitors as the gardens make a delightful destination following a walk through the park and around Virginia Water, especially in the spring.

There are car parks adjacent to Wick Lane Gate and on the A30 near Virginia Water village and the Wheatsheaf Hotel.
