Ride into the Past
at the Hollycombe Steam Museum

Hollycombe offers a wealth of old time steam driven attractions. Several are over 100 years old. The oldest is a "Dobby Set" - horses on a roundabout - which dates from around 1875 and two railway engines and a Showman's Engine that date from the late nineteenth century.

There is a Farm, featuring demonstrations of Steam Ploughing, plus cutters and grinders. Even the youngest will be entranced by the Merry-Go-Rounds and Car Rides. The train ride through the woods to the look-out high over the Sussex Weald is particularly recommended.

Attractions include:

  • Steam Fairground, oldest working Fairground Ride
  • Steam Railways with great views across the valley
  • Ferris Wheel
  • Lighthouse Slide
  • Steam Yacht
  • Chair-o-planes
  • Steam Swings
  • Ghost House
  • Showman's Engines
  • Traction Engine Trailer Rides
  • Woodland Garden and Lovers' Lookout
  •  Steam Farm
  • Special Events throughout the Summer
  • ...and much more!
