Annals of Windsor Web Cover

At Thamesweb, we believe that the internert is the perfect medium to make permanently available the wealth of information that exists about our town.
We have therefore launched the Royal Windsor History Zone on TheRoyalWindsorWebsite.com. In the last year stories have been prepared such as
The Floods of 1947, the Freeze of 1963 and the Bridges of Windsor together with an ever growing resource of information about Windsor past and present.
Our Flagship Project is to make available the substantial history published in the 19th century by Tighe and Davis, '
Annals of Windsor', a much respected two volume set of some 1500 pages, covering the development of the town from the period prior to the construction of the castle, through to Victorian times. As such it is a significant history of Windsor and its appearance on the internet will be the subject of extensive press coverage.
We invite leading local businesses and individuals to support this magnificent project by pledging any amount from £10,000 down to just £100 in return for substantial recognition of the part that individuals and companies will have played to make the project possible. Private donations of as littleas £25 will ensure a named individual will be permanently associated with the project and listed as a benefactor.
Thamesweb is perfectly placed to undertake the required work and is providing guarantees to ensure that all sponsors, benefactors and supporters are acknowledged prominently throughout the Web area for a period of at least ten years following completion.
It is intended that once completed the '
Annals of Windsor' will be a permanent feature of Windsor as represented on the Web.
